So, I've started writing a new script for the film club I started. Plus, I just enjoy making films, so it's fun writing something new.
The film is about three boys who stumble upon an object that transports them back in time.
It's my first dabble in comedy. Though, it's not in your face comedy, it's more subtle. But, hey, first time I've written comedy!
I really need to start writing films with main characters that aren't myself. All of the films I've written, I've written the main character as myself. And I haven't written any of the other characters with specific people as mind. This makes it hard to cast the characters in the end. Especially with the limited amount of actors I know.
So, the main character in this story is named Will. I wrote him as a sort of "emo" kid. I wrote him as myself. A hardcore kid. The other two roles are Terry and Josh. I wrote them for no one in specific. I don't even know what they look like! I'm probably going to end up just finding the closest person to the character. Terry is pretty much Will's best friend. They bicker a lot. Will is a film fanatic and compares his entire life to a movie. Josh is quiet. He doesn't talk much. But when he does it's ridiculous, or very intelligent.
